That's awful! The fluffy fiber type bedding is always dangerous to baby hamsters. You shouldn't do too much as the hamster could cannibalize its young. The mother should either cut it off or you may just have to let nature take its course. If there is nothing you can do you have to leave it to the mother. Hamsters aren't the most attentive mothers though. If the baby dies I would get it out before she eats it. It breaks my heart to see that happen. Good luck.

Well if the ones you are using hurt then I would recommend at least trying the playtex. I use playex in the regular and super size. Im kinda small too and it doesn't hurt me (although it can get uncomfortable if it gets really full, but it still doesn't hurt). Hope this helps!

If you are going to pursue a career in psychology it does matter where you go to grad school. Save your money for grad school and go to the cheapest undergrad which would be a state. Apply to another state for your 5th school. Cal Poly SLO is very difficult to get into maybe you should also apply to Cal Poly Pomona.

I ****** up my freshmen and sophomore grades?

If you get F's, D's, and C's in many classes, then how the hell do you expect to get good grades in AP classes? AP classes are supposed to be close to college level. They are much harder than the classes you are currently taking. They are a lot harder than honors classes even. Also, 4.0 is he highest GPA you can get, you can't get higher than that. Will it hurt your chances a lot? YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You might have to go to community college first before going to a four year university. Sorry to be harsh, but most people's grades don't improve dramatically, they stay about the same for all four years of high school. You can't really know what grades you will get in your last two years of high school, and in general Junior year is a lot harder than Sophomore year (Senior year tends to be a little easier, but only if you take easier classes.) I guess it depends on the reasons for your grades, but if you are getting bad grades because you don't understand the material, then there is no way you will be able to dramatically improve your grades next year.

Go on eBay and order the Linksys WRT54G. If you get one of the non-shiny blue models that has the two antennas, I can't imagine it'd be more than 10 bucks. The new black shiny ones are more expensive. If you can find one with DD-WRT installed on it, you get features and performance of a $600 router for the low price of $10 (or whatever you pay for the Linksys). I have the Apple Airport Extreme wireless router ($180 new, prob $120 used) and it's super easy to setup via an computer app that apple makes for it (Airport Utility) BUT I still keep a Linksys WRT54G since it's cheap, handy, simple, lightweight, and reliable. If I know I'm going somewhere without wifi, I bring that one.

never know until you try, but I can say you do have a lot going for you, go ahead and try, go for it! Be very creative trying to get in. I know some schools like University of Notre Dame, have a sister school. You can go to holy cross, and take classes at University of Notre Dame. When it comes time to get the degree, you move over to University of Notre Dame and your degree is from University of Notre Dame. At the end of the day, go for it...Also it helps if you can call them and ask, what you need to do? what can you do to get in. I hope that helps.

This sounds really retarded but I was outside watering my lawn today and I was yanking the hose across my yard. Well I couldn't see the end and it was closer then I knew. Will diluted bleach kill ants?

In Arizona, the summer is unforgiving and ants are swarming in by the hundreds. I did a little online research and found out the effective solution is to bait ants with a sweet and a poison so that the poison will spread to other ants/the source. After that, I cleaned out a Windex bottle and put sugar water, honey, and bleach into it, shook it up and sprayed it on my lawn. However, I've noticed that the ants seem to be quite enjoying the solution because I put a LOT of honey and sugar water (about ten ounces) along with barely two to three ounces of bleach. I was just wondering if the amount of bleach was too small because the ants aren't dying and seem to be eating it up if anything. Thanks.

Am I wrong here? please be honest!?

Yesterday was my birthday. I wanted this game called rockband. Well i told my husband about this two weeks ago. He talked to my sister friday just to be sure what I wanted, had all of saturday to get it. Never did until monday on his lunch break. He said he went to two stores and no one had the guitar so all he gave me was the game which was useless without an instrument and told me he would buy it online for me. Well then I was lupset cuz he knew about it two weeks ago so he had plenty of time to see if they were hard to get, order it online, and have it by my birthday. But no, instead he waited untl the very last minute and couldn't get it. To me it seemed like he didn't care enough to put effort into getting me something for my bday. he waited until the last moment to try to throw something together for me and failed. Water will not turn your lawn brown. It sounds more like you cut it too short. If you are cutting your lawn properly, you'll cut only 1/3 of the leaf blade at a time and cleanup should involve a blower or broom and letting the clippings re- feed the lawn. Using a hose is a waste of water.

I am going to get my driver license soon but just found out I wont be able to drive. I'll most likely get a C- in Spanish but all my other grades are fine. I'll admit i haven't had the best track record grades wise but I have scouting and volunteer work that diligently follow. Im going to have a summer job that I'll need to drive to. I'll also be taking 2 APs next year and taking the bus home takes 1 and half to 2 hours out of my day. I won't be able to get my license until the end of 1st semester next year assuming I get all B's. Here's the kicker I get lectured and yelled at for not being more independent and having to rely on my mom for a ride somewhere. But letting my drive would make her a bad parent because she can't let my C- in spanish go unpunished. Please will some one tell me I'm not crazy and this doesn't make sense

I was walking across my lawn 5 minutes ago and all the sudden I see this big ball of sparks explode 5 feet away. Well if the ones you are using hurt then I would recommend at least trying the playtex. I use playex in the regular and super size. Im kinda small too and it doesn't hurt me (although it can get uncomfortable if it gets really full, but it still doesn't hurt). Hope this helps!

My fiance and I moved into a 2 family house 9 months ago. We live upstairs and a young man lives downstairs. We never had any problems up until 2 months ago. The guy downstairs had his "ex-girlfriend" move in that had just gotten out of jail so she had no where else to go. Before she moved in he also had another guy living their undercover that was not on the lease (but he kept a low profile and was no probelm). Also, we have a dog that we had to sign a contract for and pay a pet fee for every month. He has a huge dog and a cat living their without permission and now this girl. I dont care as long as they arent causing problems. But ever since he had this girl move in who isnt on the lease she has been telling my finace and I what she does and doesnt want us to do with our apartment. Telling us to keep our dog on a leash (he's a 10 lb. chihuahua) and not put our cigarte butts in front of OUR door. She mouths off comments to us every time we are outside. She has her dog out all day and we can't even use our yard. They smoke pot in their garage every night and have all their friends over every night drinking and standing around in the driveway till all hours of the night. We have never said anything to our land lord. We just moved to the area from hours away and dont know anyone here. But, this past weekend I had my sister and brother in law up to visit and I could tell the neigbors downstairs were pissed that I had visitors. So, I bought a guinea pig for my eight year old daughter for her b-day. She was very excited as it was the first pet my wife and I have allowed her to have. How should I start my chapters?

Be careful about prologues because they often seem like something "before the story starts." They have to follow the same basic pattern as all story telling. If there is no other purpose than introducing the character, I would consider dropping it and working any background you need into the story as it goes along. So wherever you start let it be with something happening. You mentioned you do that with your action stories but it's really the same thing with this. Begin in the middle of something going on. It could be a shock your protagonist gets in a conversation, a telephone call, or seeing something happening she/he doesn't understand. In romance it could be a reaction to seeing the romantic interest for the first time. It needs to be emotional and surprising (at least for the character) but it doesn't have to be all that active in a physical way. In a smaller way, it's the same with chapters. It's best to END each chapter with something that leaves the reader a little anxious about what happens next and begin the next one in the middle of what was hinted at in the last one. Think of a chapter as a complete scene which ends with a "teaser" leading to the next scene. As far as planning, you're right to have an overall goal for the protagonist and it's good to be thinking about some of the points that have to happen to get there but don't worry if, as you write, you find you want to change some or all of those. That sometimes happens as you begin to feel you better understand the character and know how they would react to things. As far as not planning to publish, that might not be a useful way of thinking. If you want to be a writer, you should always be thinking about how a reader would be responding to what you are doing. Maybe you're right and publishing at this point in life is not likely but it's not impossible and you should be working at it the same way you would if you already had a contract and a deadline for the manuscript. Even if you can't get it published (it won't be because of your age but possibly do to lack of experience) it may be something you'll get out in ten years and realize it can be reworked and sold. NEVER LOSE ANYTHING YOU HAVE WRITTEN! Back it up, protect it and keep it forever. I hope this helps.

Neighbor taking out our shrubs, need an affordable safety fence!?

In the last year our unfriendly (but hadn't been hostile) neighbor has seemed to be going through something which seems to be getting worse and worse. He has never talked to me in 5 years, but one sudden manic moment told me all about how the cops had taken his friend away and now had a restraining order, and how he'd been sick for a year and lost a ton of weight. I never knew anything about him, though tried to say hi and had for years left holiday cards, but all in 1 conversation learned more than I would normally have learned in months. He never talked to me again since (that was 6 months ago) and since then he has had new friends move in/out, had men stopping in front of our house at 3:30am beeping (I could see the man's GPS, so I figure he didn't know the neighbor much since he didn't know where he lived), and recently had his new live-in friend taken out by stretcher unconscious at about 4pm (I'm only guessing drugs, but don't know, but he had told me in that one conversation that his last friend had been drunk and doing drugs the night he was arrested). All of this story is to lead up to why I am more worried that he is getting worse, more unbalanced. His house is very close to our's, and a few days ago he walked onto our lawn while I was home with my baby and pulled out a bunch of our shrubs along our house that my husband had been growing for years. I saw rolls of mesh on one site and posts, and also saw faux ivy screens that might make more privacy, but my biggest concern is safety, and keeping him/anything out from his side of the yard. It may sound like I'm being a nervous mom, but I have heard the screaming from outdoors at 3:30 am, and heard banging on our backdoor one night, and think he or is ex-boyfriend may have hurdled our little fence, so I really have been scared to go out. Your improvement may be taken into consideration because colleges understand that not everyone does well their first year. Keep in mind, however, that college admission is more competitive than ever. Even with your improvement you may not get into the school of your choice if it is very selective. It sounds like you are a really good student though, you shouldn't have much of a problem.

Toenail was peeling offf help!!!!!?

Ok on my right foot its the 3rd toe from the big one. I think i may have dropped something on it at work because it suddenly hurt oneday. So i looked and down the middle there was a crack and it hurt so bad. So i wraped it up because i had work for the rest of the week. So about a week later i noticed that it hasnt been hurting. So i went to unwrap it and to my surprise there was no pain but when i lifted the nail up it didnt hurt at all so i peeled the half off because it would get caught in my sock or something. It doesn't look like you should have a problem getting accepted into a major at Ohio State... but once you are in college you will just have to maintain excellent grades in order to be able to get into Med School. I'd say you want to try and maintain a 3.7 GPA or higher in undergrad.. but you can decide your major once your there, just start out as undecided then declare one once you've met with a couselor.

As do many other people in my family, I am prone to puppy eyes and the pleading look you get from dogs who want what you're eating out of your hand and/or what's on your plate at the dinner table. They look so stinkin' CUTE. Help with my mexican orphan!?

So my friend went to an orphanage and adopted a little mexican and uses him for chores so I thought, you know i should to the same! So I did. I picked up a little 9 year old beef sitck and he's been doing some of my chores like mow my lawn, clean my house, and make me sammiches since my ***** left me. But I'm having some problems too!! He won't sleep on his mat in the corner! It cost me $19.99 at PetSmart! I even got the one with fluffy padding! AND THE SELFISH BRAT WON"T USE IT!!! He also won't potty train! Groundhogs? Is that what you told your wife? I once set the mower down on a metal pipe that mom pounded in the ground to keep us kids from mowing into her peonies. It sheared off the woodruff key on the flywheel. But it didn't burn oil after I fixed the key. I think the prognosis for your mower isn't as good as mom's peonies. If it will run, limp along. If not, you might be able to fix it. Tear it apart and see what it takes. If you have the time, you might be able to fix it for less than a new one. I'm going to tell mom about the goundhogs.

Just my opinion here, but I would say stay in HS. A rigorous schedule with AP classes will help you get into college, regardless of how competitive your HS is. It's how competitive the colleges are that you need to think about. Through some searching, I've found some companies that will recycle the actual CD discs and jewel cases separately, but I have boxes upon boxes of unopened CDs, still in their shrink wrap. I'm all about conservation, but I just don't have the time to go through and unwrap every single CD, separate out all the paper, discs, jewel cases, etc. It would take forever. How to fix a lawn mower motor?

Tampon problems! Please help!?

I'm 13 and a virgin and I've never had a period. I know it's coming soon though. I'm going to camp this summer and everyone said not to bring pads. My dog barks at everything and he wont stop?

I got a second dog and when I got him he was quiet for the first month (most likely settling in). However, after 2 and a half months he won't stop barking. A few examples: When I go to the garage to get a drink out of the fridge, he barks. He barks when everyone isn't in the same room and won't stop which makes things difficult if someone in the house is upstairs. If I plan on taking him and my other dog for a walk, he will bark at me and try to shove my other dog out of the way as I try to put her leash on. He will continue to bark until I have him out the door. He also barks if I give any attention to my other dog and not him or if it even looks like I am going to pet my other dog. One of the major problems however is that he barks at lawn mowers that are more than a block away (making Sundays a real problem). He also barks at pretty much anything else. Why do my breast implants look this way?

I just had my breasts done 3 days ago. The doctor just unwrapped them, and they look a little funny. He's one of the best plastic surgeons in the country and his work is flawless. Is It Okay That I Said No To My Neice?

My neice Alica is 19 years old and had a baby. She had a huge baby shower and got tons of diapers and clothes. I've never seen someone get so much. My landlord asked if we would mow the lawn, and when we asked if we could get a rent break for doing it, she freaked out, stating that she was going to raise the rent or kick our third roommate out. Only myself and my husband are officially on the lease, but we know from Burlington, Vermont law (where we live) that our roommate is a legal tenant anyways, so she can't just kick her out. We also know from Burlington law that she needs to give us 90 days written notice in order to raise our rent. The problem is is that she is unreasonable, and if we don't give in to her demand to start paying an extra $100 by August first (which she has asked for by text message, not in written notice, and gave us less than 60 days notice for) and instead request formal written notice, I am 100% positive that when she does give us written notice, it will be to raise the rent by at least $300, if not more. We signed an 18 month lease with her, which doesn't end until April, and had heard from our local tenant's association that we can't be held to a lease of more than 12 months unless it's been registered with the clerk's office, which it hasn't been. Unfortunately, the tenant's association hasn't been able to find this statute, and when I spoke to a local lawyer, he didn't know anything about it either. He suggested that we just give her notice anyways, break the lease, and let her take us to court. If we can't leave legally until April, what should we do? If we try to fight back and insist on notice, we could be stuck dealing with substantially higher rent and her wrath for almost 10 more months. Advice?

Question about my brother: ten easy points?

So I have three older brothers, one I've only met once in my life (step-brother) one I used to be really close to but not so much anymore (half-brother) and one I never met (he died at birth, and I never had the chance to meet him since I came along 14 months later) Anyways my brother that died at birth keeps showing up on my dreams, but I'm the only one that seems to notice him..like the dream is him tied up in a chair and can't move. Its in a creepy old building and the rest of my family is standin against a wall. My brother has plastic wrap, wrapped around his face. My family keeps asking me why I'm going frantic. Its because I'm trying to unwrap my brothers face as quickly as possible so that he will live. But everytime I get it off his face its to late, he died. And I look into his eyes and as I'm looking into them his eyes sink in and bugs start climbing out of his mouth and where his eyes once were. And I put my head to his chest and hug him tight and start screaming and sobbing sayng this can't happen to me again, then I wake up. But everytime I have this dream my brother has a different face (but I know for a fact its my brother still) and after my family asks me why I'm so frantic they suddenly disappear...what do you think this all means??

Can you take an AP course and exam in the same, one year (in 11th grade)?

I'll be in grade 11 the next year but I'm quite unsure 'bout whether I'll be able to do 2 APs along with some O-Levels (and some SAT exams). You see, I go to some weird school called the "International School of Choueifat" (in Abu Dhabi, UAE) where they offer an American-British curriculum but it mainly offers British O-Level and A-Level Exams. My interest, however, is American-based and I want to take mainly SAT and AP exams in this school and study medicine in America. This school offers O-Levels at an early grade in 10th grade (main grade for them is 11th). So I took English, Math and Biology O-Levels this year and am going to take the rest next year along with two APs (English and Biology to study in some extent during the Summer Vacations) and the English and Math SAT exams. So, is it possible to be able to do all of them the next year? Would it be a really hard year or what? My weakness has always been Physics and I find Economics and Business rrreallly boring... My interests are Biology and Chemistry. Any help would really be helpful!!!

How to treat a second degree burn on my leg?

While I was at a race track, I was riding a 110 dirtbike. I crashed and now I have a 2 degree burn on my lower leg and it is very large. How do I treat it? At first, I put neosporn and then square cloths and then wrapped it with gauze for school then unwrapped in when I got home. When I took the cloth of it would hurt and peal my skin off and make me bleed a lot. My cousin told me to put the medicine on the burn, put the suran wrap on my leg, wrap it up for school and when I get home, unwrap it. Many people said to stop doing that because it is bad. Can i still get into harvard or a ivy league school?

School just ended and i will be a junior next year in high school. The majority of my freshman year and a semester this year, i failed most of my core classes (gpa 1.2 as of november 2010). It wasn't the fact that i was incapable of achieving good grades, there was just alot of things that contributed as to why my grades were so low (family, environment, my music career). Long story short, I as able able to resolve these conflicts and manage to get straight a's this quarter. Hypothetically, i can prob recuperate my gpa up to a 3.2-3.8 by next year if i take all aps and do well. I wanna try to get into Harvard, one of my teachers said if all this works out i have good chance because i can use my academic history to my advantage and im pretty confident i can get a nearly perfect, if not perfect score on the sat. Is there any truth in this? Any recommendations? Thanks

Are my SAT scores high enough?

This last June was my first time taking the SAT. I didn't take any classes and didn't study because of lack of resources and time due to finals and all. I ended up getting a 1970 (700 CR, 600 math, and 670 writing). I'm not sure if those are good scores? Should I retake the SAT in the fall and study this summer in hope for a score increase? Why doesn't my lawn mower start?

About a week ago I was trying to mow my lawn and the lawn mower turned off after 3-5 minutes of it running. I would start it up again and the same thing would happen. I took apart the carb and cleaned the bowl and jets with carb cleaner. The bowl gasket looks to be just fine. The spark plug is getting spark. I replaced the gasoline with fresh gas. Now it doesn't start. Please help.

AP bio is stupid, i loved AP chem, and colleges admire people with strong skills in math and science, that's quite a schedule though, make sure you take time to enjoy high school, never again will you have so much freedom and so little responsibility. AP psych wont look bad by any stretch. there are a few other courses that would look better, however there are tons that would look worse. you re on the right track!

Ugh! I cant stand the tenants downstairs in the 2 family i live in! Need advice / suggestions!?
