Is my moms logic wacked?

I am going to get my driver license soon but just found out I wont be able to drive. I'll most likely get a C- in Spanish but all my other grades are fine. I'll admit i haven't had the best track record grades wise but I have scouting and volunteer work that diligently follow. Im going to have a summer job that I'll need to drive to. I'll also be taking 2 APs next year and taking the bus home takes 1 and half to 2 hours out of my day. I won't be able to get my license until the end of 1st semester next year assuming I get all B's. Here's the kicker I get lectured and yelled at for not being more independent and having to rely on my mom for a ride somewhere. But letting my drive would make her a bad parent because she can't let my C- in spanish go unpunished. Please will some one tell me I'm not crazy and this doesn't make sense
