Is this a big deal.. Or is it just because every other guy I've been with is a douchebag?

I think this is a definite good thing. Im not exactly an expert, but ive slept with "douchebags" as you called them and they tend to be the type that want to get in ther as soon as possible. My long term boyfriend does what your guy did. Like its as though he actually wants me and not jsut sex. I would take this as a positive thing, and i think it means he genuinely likes you as opposed to jsut wanting to do you :)
