Get a track abrasion checked?
I was hurdling at a track invitational. The runner next to me elbowed me so hard that he twirled me into the next lane, and I fell on my shoulder, scraping my arm, shoulder, and knee against the track. I had what the athletic trainer called "several abrasions" (I'm guessing brush burns after looking it up) and now the big one on my shoulder is turning yellow in a large area. This happened yesterday morning, and the trainer wrapped them after disinfecting them, but I unwrapped my arm and re-wrapped it when I returned home (1. I used new wrap and clean gauze 2. because they were so tight that my arm went numb), then unwrapped them once more before bed. I was thinking it was filling with puss, and it might be infected. Should I get them checked by a doctor?
